Novel Study: Prezi

From the start of the term, we have been doing novel study. I had to create something that presents my novel study. I chose to make a prezi to present what I've done. It is below, Please comment!

My Prototec

From the start of Week One, Term Four, Rimu Class started doing prototec nearly every day. Prototec is a basic facts site where you can choose what stage you want to do. I think it's best that you record your scores on a graph so you can see if you have been improving or not; That's what I've been doing. Here is the Link so you can have a go!

Here is my Prototec graph for the last six weeks. I did stage 7. I mostly learnt how to convert percentages. This is important for when I go shopping! I think this is an effective way of learning basic facts because it gives you different questions each time, you can mark it yourself so you can see quickly what you got right and where you went wrong. It's on a site so you could you could practise at home too! Give it a try and see how you get on!

Hello? I whispered through the door. SHH! My mum yelled. My mum and my aunty pushed the door open and they glared at me. “Shoosh” Mum said. They walked past me then went out the door. But where were they going? It was 3:06am! I waited patiently. It had to be hours now. 8:07pm the clock read. Where are they? I asked myself. The door creaked open; WHo was it? The man I took a glance at was all black. “Your mummy is gone now.” He said. I knew what that meant. I was scared. I ran to mums room to see if dad was there...

This is my 100 word challenge for the week.
This week I had to use the sentence 'as the smoke cleared.' I used it in my starting sentence. I hope you enjoy :)

As the smoke cleared, I sped off. I couldn’t stand seeing it anymore. I hate it; the cheesy movies that my sister makes me watch. Smoke blows out of the speakers. Ugh, I can’t believe that she actually likes the genre ‘romance’ “I can’t watch it anymore!” I announced. She glared at me in surprise. I couldn’t help it. I had to tell her otherwise I would suffer for years coming. “GO!” she screamed. I could see fire in her eyes. I was clueless of what to say. At least I had gotten out of watching the movies. I just had to get of one more thing...

Hello? The voice echoed in my ears, before I could even understand the voice. I opened the arched door to see a girl with Yellow hair. Not blonde, but yellow. She stared at me in a gingerly way. Yes? I replied. “Uh, um, I saw your artwork and I thought it was remarkable, is it for sale?” “I discovered it 6 days ago when I rode past on my bike.” I took a glance at her bike that sat on the corner of my driveway. “It isn’t for sale!” I slammed the door, and was surprised at how I acted. However, I had to get back to painting.

The piercing sound of screaming filled my ears. I darted my way across the room over to the cobweb filled window. The cobweb blocked my vision. I could barely see what was happening. That’s when I decided to race to the door to see the dark looming skies outside. My eyes caught a megalithic sized spider. Questions were growing on me. My brain seemed like it was reducing its size. I had to find a way to escape. The spider seemed to be searching for something to devour. I was motionless; trying to process what was going on. I heard a creak. I turned my head to see a gigantic spider...

I take off. I don’t know where I am going, but I’ll figure something out. I have a friend across town that I can go to, but that's about an hours walk. Well, I’ll have to do it anyway, No one else will accept me. I am finally here. I knock on the door, though there is a doorbell. Its 10:37p.m but she’ll be awake. She answers and without having to explain why i was there, led me into the spare room. I sprang into bed. The material felt like a hard spiky blanket. She walks out then the door closes. A mysterious voice fills my ears.
