May the 'Fourth' be with you!

Guys, it's May the 4th. So, May the fourth be with you!
Now, some of you will be wondering what I mean. So, in Star Wars, their 'phrase' is "May The Force Be With You!".

Since the date is May 4th, we are having a Star Wars theme at our school and we got to dress up as Star Wars characters. I went as 'Rey.' Below is a picture of me and my friends and what we were dressed up as, also what my class was dressed up as, and a few Star Wars themed pictures.

In my class, there were three people who went as 'Rey', and they were both my best friends!

Commonwealth games info

The past few weeks we have been learning about the commonwealth games, and here is what I know about the commonwealth games:

Maths: Median, Mode and Range

The other day in maths I learnt what Median, Mode, and Range were, which really excited me.
So now I will teach you what they are!

Median: When you have a range of numbers, the Median number is the middle number. For example, here is a range of numbers:

1, 7, 9, 18, 23.

The Median number is 9, because it's the middle number.


Now let's learn what Mode is. Mode is the most common number. Here is a range of numbers:

2, 8, 8, 10, 16.

What is the mode number in this range of numbers? The mode number is 8, because it is the most common number in that range of numbers.

Finally, let's learn what range is. Range is the difference between the lowest and highest number.
Here is some numbers, and after you read the numbers I'll tell you what range is.

3, 5, 9, 10, 18

The range number is 15. How? Because the lowest number is 3, and the highest number is 18, and you're focusing on the difference between those two numbers.

Quality Blog Posting!

Today we had a lesson with our principal on how to improve our blog posts. I found that one of the most important things in a blog posts for me is adding detail. We want to tell our viewers why we are posting, and what we are posting about. At the moment, all of our class is focusing on Quality blog posting, as well as commenting. 

Number 1 was explaining the posts our class saw, as one person's post we saw had posted an animation, using scratch. The 2nd person's post we looked at was about a flag. The first two posts we looked at didn't use much detail, and didn't tell us what the post was about. The 3rd person's post told us about what activity she was doing, and this person used lots of detail.
