100 word challenge week 5

This is my fifth week of 100 word challenge. I had to write exactly 100 words and I did it again! My story is below, 

‘Matthew Flanders Cat’ the man read. “That sounds good” The man thought. He sat down on a bench with a statue on it. The statue was silver with a brown hat superglued to his head.

The man read for about 10 minutes and then he heard the statue talk. “Hello” The statue said. “I must be mad” the man thought. “Are you going to answer?” the statue said. “Oh” the man said. “Sorry I can’t do this, people will think that I am crazy!” Said the man.

The statue stayed silent, and the man read his book happily. The End

Match Boxes

This Term, We had to choose an ANZAC Hero or a NZ Hero. I chose Ingrid Visser. We had to get a matchbox, then we got paper and measured the outside of the matchbox so we could decorate the matchbox. Then, we had to ask questions about the person we chose, and put the answers on a piece of paper and put it in our matchbox. My Matchbox is Below. :-)

The Amazing Race

Rimu Are doing something called the 'Amazing Race' The Amazing race is where whenever you read a book you move a different country then when you move to a different country, then you have to find out a fact about the country you moved to. right now, I am at the starting line because I haven't fully read a chapter book yet.The book I am reading right now, is called 'Matilda'. Each time I read a book, then a fact will be on one of these countries. My padlet is below. (Please do not edit my padlet)

100 word challenge

In class, we have been working on something called the 100 word challenge, It is where we have to write a story that has exactly 100 words in it. We are doing this because it helps us improve our vocabulary. This week my story is called 'the stairway to the sky'

The stairway to the sky
I was lost in the forest and then suddenly I saw a very bright light. I walked towards the bright light and when I came closer then I saw a golden staircase and It led up to the sky so I started to walk up...
When the staircase ended, I figured I was in the sky. It was so bright It took me about five minutes to get used to the brightness. I walked around and I saw a very big lion with a bright shiny golden main. Then there was a dark tunnel I decided to go through it.

This Is my Third week of doing the 100 word challenge, I need to write a story that has exactly one hundred words in it. I have to use this sentence: As the flame flickered and then went out...  My story is called creep. The story is below, Hope you enjoy.

As the flame flickered and then went out, I Jumped into my bed. My eyes started drifting to sleep, I heard a knock at the front door. "Mum!" I yelled. She came into my room, and asked me what I called for. I told her what I had heard. She went to the front door then opened it, "nothing is there, go back to sleep!" As soon as she got back into her bed, I heard it again. I yelled out to mum again and she checked one more time. I heard her turn the handle, and then a scream...

100 Word Challenge week two

This week I did the 100 word challenge. I had to write exactly 100 words. This time, We could write about whatever we want, but we have to use five specific words. The words are: Silence, Thunder, Pyjamas, Orange and Swam. I have put the words bold so you can see them.
Here is my story, It is called, What next?

I was watching t.v, I had just swam 4km.
I had to put up with the brutal sounds of thunder. It was so loud, but I eventually fell asleep...
My mum had put me to bed. In the morning, I only heard silence. I looked at the clock and it read, 5:58 a.m. It was sunrise, The clouds were orange and pink, and the sky was a soft light grey.
